
Tarryn Rennie is a lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication at Nelson Mandela University where she lectures Visual Communication, Advertising and Critical Approaches to Media Design. She is also a PhD candidate in Visual Arts. Her research is in digital humanities, graphic design, education and healthcare, but most specifically, how design and visual communication can influence, change and enrich peoples' lives in a positive way, particularly in education and the healthcare industry. Tarryn also received Vice-Chancellor Excellence Awards for Engagement and Creative Outputs in 2023, and further Creative Output Awards in 2024, 2022 ad 2021.
